Plot: Henri Danglard, proprietor of the fashionable (but bankrupt) cafe 'Le Paravent Chinois' featuring his mistress, belly-dancer Lola, goes slumming in Montmarte, circa 1890, where the then-old-fashioned cancan is still danced.
